Dr Adam Stokes

Dr Adam Stokes is a Reader in Engineering and the Deputy Head of Institute at the University of Edinburgh’s Institute for Integrated Micro and Nano Systems (IMNS). After acquiring a PhD in Microelectronic Engineering and Physical Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh in 2010, Dr Stokes took up a postdoctoral position at Harvard University before earning a full-time position as a Lecturer at the University of Edinburgh in 2012. He currently serves as Director of his own interdisciplinary group within IMNS: the Soft Systems group specialise in the fields of bioinspired technologies, soft robotics, microfabrication, and sensor design.
