Prof Marian Scott
Prof Marian Scott obtained her PhD in Statistics and Chemistry from the University of Glasgow, where she is currently a professor of Environmental Statistics. Prof Scott is an expert in applied Statistics, evidence-based environmental policy, and environmental risk assessment. She has authored several books and peer-reviewed publications. She is a member of the International Statistical Institute, the Royal Society of Edinburgh, the Royal Statistical Society (RSS), and other prestigious European and international committees. She was awarded an OBE in 2009 for services to science and won the Barnett award of the RSS in 2019.
